Just wonder if anyone has dealt with this prob before.

I am tired of trying to keep a neighbourhood poxy cat off the roof of my missis car. There were several times in a row it's happened and it's a big nuisance as the cat leaves paw prints on the car as well as damages the paint. Also I do not know why, but the cat loves biting the antenna on top of my missis merc. This makes me wanna buy a pistol and shoot the fucking animal.
I have changed the antenna twice and do not wanna do it again. :(

Any recommendation please?

I just love it :D
The problem is that I am not sure how relialbe the high frequency machines are.
I do not have 240V around so has to be a battery powered one.
I know they are supposed to be used in a garden (no obstacles) and not at a car parking :(

Had this problem sometime ago and my wife got one of those cat repelant sound emmiting units (adults can't hear this high pitched noise but kids under 10 can as my daughter always heard it as she went past it)from B&Q or other DIY stores. We place it by the cars or under it and the cat finally stayed away form the cars. It may not work for you but for less than a tenner its alot cheaper than a merc ariel or a car detailer!

George, nice one. Was it a battery powered one?

Trust me moe, had this on a previous car and the F***ng cat got used to it. Infact I thought it was doing it on purpose setting my clifford off just to get me out of my bed just to piss me off! My neighbours were not best pleased either:(

Mate, Its not my beemer, but my missis C180 Sport 2007. Mercs do not like non-native alarm systems. Besides its under mercs warranty so...

possibily even cheaper and easier option is the cat repellent granules you can buy. We had a prob of a local cat taking fancy to using a few ornamental plants in the front garden as a loo.........got these granules and placed around the area and the cat didnt bother coming around again. guess you could try these and place some around your drive. may be worth a try....only a few quid.

Can anyone recommend any other car repellent stuff? I def go for the one George recommended.
I think tomorrow is going to be a good shopping day at B&Q before paying a visit to the CA workshop ;)

Tried this one already. It stopped cat for like two weeks and thats it.
I think I may try granules again with the high frequency machine together.

Place a bowl of cat food in a bowl and place it on the roof of the car, obviously put a cloth under the bowl. Then sprinkle rat poison on the cat food and mix in. I'll bet you won't see the cat on the roof of the car again. Air gun would probably work as well but if you miss then you take the chance of hitting the car and damaging the paintwork.

I have the same problem with a cat on the roof of my car but my problem is that its my cat so i don't really want to try either of the above options.

Think i might take a trip to B&Q tomorrow though to pick up one of those electronic cat repellant things.

Just run after that cat when you see it again. You just have to make him/her scare of you. After few times that cat should never come close to your house again. Hope that help. I had the same problem too that the cat from next door always sleep on my roof at nite. But the funny thing is they own a vert as well. Why like mine's better.. But the cat didn't make any damage except leave some hairs on the roof from time to time thats why i didn't try to do anything.

Pussy's are my speciality.

Amuro's reply is spot on. I grew up with cats :o all it takes is a few loud shouts, anything to scare it, it'll soon get the message, they very rarely revisit territory if they've had a bad experience.

Pussy's hate getting wet so another way is to throw water at them, scares them so in brief you need to get that pussy wet :p

i had the perfect answer to this question.

i bought a house with a Garage problem solved :D

Also before you consider phelineacide find out where it belongs and who owns it. I'm quite handy in ring sports and if anyone touches my cat i'm comig after you.

Seriously though As previously mentioned the high pitch cat deterrents are good

also make sure it's not this breed before you do anything to it, it may have some bad ass friends
