As you may know caparo's main factory is based in basingstoke.
My friend works there - he makes the carbon fibre shite for the car, and he has just told me that they have made all their mechanics redundunt, and he has also been made redundant. Looks like Caparo have not achived their goal of being a well known hyper kit super car manufacturer.

and you're surprised because?????????? Britain does not do manufacturing, sad bad true.

costs are to high in the UK for manufacturing, especially with the pound being so strong exporting British manufactured goods is difficult.

They haven't exactly done a good job in proving the product in it's early tests either... £200k+ for a car that, as far as the public is concerned, is extremely fragile, breaks down, catches fire....

And wasn't there talk of them doing a whole bunch of other consultancy for companies on Carbon Fibre technology???

To be fair when the flagship product catches fire and nigh on kills a journo reviewing it the outlook will never be great
