Or at least I used to think the 6er was. Anybody else starting to warm to it ? I`ve seen quite a few lately including some 635d`s.

Question after the summer would be, nearly new 635d as only car or keep the Mondeo as a goat and get a used M6. :D

I hated the 6er when she came out, now i love them. So much road presence its un-real.

when it first came out, i was shocked at how futuristic it looked. then i had an m6 for a week as a curtosy car, and lost some love for it.
it is an amazing looking thing, especially the convertible, but its huge! i realised how ugly the ass was too. the rest was awesome.

the convert looks much better than coupe in my opinion. if you dont mind big sized coupes, then its a perfect choice.

Look what the insurance company gave me until i get my M3 back after an old lady pulled out on me on a roundabout, they said they haven't got any M3's available on fleet at the moment so would a 650i sport do.

Not a huge fan, but think the recent, albeit mild, face (or should that be arse) lift was needed. I can also never get on with the red/clear reflectors on the rear bumper, uneccesary and ruins the rear imo. A properly spec'd 3er coupe trounces the 6er for me.

well asshole from DHL clicked my back bumper and drove off, i spent the whole day tracking the motherfucker down. dont ask how i tracked him down, im just good ;)
i went through accident exchange. they offered me a 630i, i refused i said i cant be driving that BIG old car. so they waited a couple of days for an m3 to return. the day i was suppose to pick up the m3, they called me and said
'the m3 came back damaged, is an m6 ok?'
'excuse?'
'we have an m6, is that ok?'

'HELL YEA MOTHER£"%"$%' (in my head):D
'yes that will be fine, thank you' (aloud):)

i made sure i had it over the weekend too. i spent £400 in petrol in 1 week. 8-9mpg, with careful driving :o
when i got back in the m3, i was shocked at how slow my car was :D

i have a video of it, if you pm me, i can send you a link.

Going from an M3 cab to an M6 I would say the car is great but very different to the 3.

Its definately not a sports car, you have to be ready for change to a comfy powerful cruiser with a sporting edge and massive performance.
Its not as chuckable or fun and its size and lack of turning circle can be a right pain along with 8mpg around town.

It suits my needs as I drive it around local roads and its comfy, reliable, practical, slightly understated and enjoyable for the rare occasions I get to use it, in comparison our 997 Turbo on the other hand is raw, fast and bumpy and noisy compared to this but much more exciting but can get tiresome on the daily grind.

Overall I think its a great car but I definately miss my M3, as a package I still think that car is very hard to beat, the size, sharp engine, light(er) weight and handling was more fun.

m6 all the way.

Although only in coupe evrsion, not vert. the vert looks sick with top down but the with the top up the shape of the hood makes it look funny.

get a coupe and stick some Deep Dish HRE's on it and bobs ur uncle ;)

M5 all the way :P but im biased :p

I wasnt a fan of the 6 which is one of my reasons for buyin the M5 over the M6... but they have grown on me especially as my business partner has just gone and brought a 630i Convertible its a lovely machine
