I went into my local wheel and tyre place today to discuss some BBS rims that I was thinking of getting and they tell me that they have gone out of business a couple of months ago.
Anyone know is this true, if so they were a major player they will take some replacing.

Yes, unfortunately BBS Europe went bankrupt a while back, not manufacturing anymore for the time being. BBS America and Asia are still going strong.

I guess it because of demand, not many people can afford expensive items like BBS rims in Europe and the general market size is smaller compared to the USA for example. There it's a different story.
The market is so much bigger, and as living costs a cheaper relative to income people can afford to buy BBS rims. If your such through some US forums, its incredible how much cheaper and how much more people are able to afford mods for their cars. And because of the high demand, US suppliers can buy in bigger numbers and sell goods even cheaper!!!! :(
