I have finally got around to fitting some 16mm spacers front and rear. No rubbing problems yet, but it certainly looks more meaty!

What do you think?

Granted, an aftermarket exhaust looks better, but I like the way it's quiet at low speed, but comes to life when you give it some stick.

I made the bolts myself! No worries though. They are stronger than standard.

 serious mate? I need some 35mm-36mm locking bolts with key as small as BMW one...havin a nightmare finding them... [bang

Mine are the type with the key lockable cap. The cap and key are standard BMW, and the bolts are machined to suit. They are 16mm shank for extra strength, reducing to 12 x 1.5mm thread. Made from EN24 then heat treated to 'V' condition. Finally zinc plated and passivated black. These would cost a fortune to have made.

Have you tried Mercedes. I think they have longer studs.

We tried the E-Class McGard studs on Teddy's wheels and the head is way too big for his rims....but the length should be just right.

Teddy, maybe you should try the standard Merc bolts. I've got a feeling the head will be small enough to fit into your rims ;)

However, the seat on Merc bolts are 'U' shaped as opposed to the BM's 'V' shape.

Just for guidance, the BMW ones have a 30 degree taper.

thanks mate, I thought about Merc bolts, they are indeed longer but think they have a different bolt design?

Bloody hell, I have just asked Roy to sort me out some longer bolts but still need to find some matching length locking bolts...having said that people need special socket to remove the bolts from my wheels so they can't steal them anyway lol Even Kheri at Speedway needs to wrap his special socket with some insulation tape to prevent scratching lol

howabout ones from trucks/buses? :D

OEM sounding exhaust, but looks 10 times better! get a set of ACS tailpipe ends from Teddy, keeps the sound but adds to the looks ;)

Teddy, what mm spacers are you planning on running? Schnitzer do locking nuts, rebranded McGuard's, which are 7mm longer to accomodate their 7mm spacers which come with their rims.

I got 10mm spacers from Roy for the rear. so I guess I will need 35mm thread locking bolts. Not a problem finding them I guess but am unsure about the key size as Nick has said sometimes the key is too large and won't go inside the hole.

I have 2 sets of locking wheel nuts in my garage which were TOO long, i.e. they went through the wheel, the spacer and hit the brake splash guard. One is McGuards, the other is something else. If you're free, come over sometime and we can try them, or I can bring them to the pod. If they're suitable, they're yours

Noticed a mark on my tyre today after carrying 4 adults, so I have changed the rears to 10mm per side.
