Guys, can u let me know whats the best springs to get for the E46 M3 Vert, i hate the way the front sits higher than the back on my car.
I know the best way to sort this out is to go for coilovers, but dont wanna spend that sort of money, as ive been told it the best part of a grand for them. I just need the car sitting abit better aswell as not losing too much comfort.......thanks

i got the eibach pro kit on mine and it works well, closes the arch gap and doesnt compromise the ride at all

vert originally sits lower than coupe already so the eibach pro kit drop will be perfect.

I heard on Mtorque that the Eibachs give a skittish ride at speed especially on track compared to the OE springs and other aftermarket. I spent the extra and bought H&R's becuase of this... Think the Eibach kit retails at £100-£125 from what I've seen though which is great value.. M3's do sit perfectly on them too!

if you are running stock tyre profiles the Eibach pro will look perfect, but if you are running say 235/35 at the front, you will proabably need a slightly lower drop at the front IMO, as the gap between the arch and the tyre wall is still significant. Rear will be fine though, as very has a heavy ass.
Also be a good idea to get a set of spacers to push the rims out, once it has been dropped (if you haven't got any already that is) :)

Eibach prokit will make the front sit a lot nicer than how it is currently. I'll dig out a pic of Dan's car, before he went Tein, he had the prokit and it looked awesome. M3 vert in CB as well

It's horses for courses, but sometimes I do wish people would ask around or preferably try to see things for themselves before taking someone's word on it, cos honestly that's utter rubbish. :( I'm obviously not having a pop at you Mark, opinions are fair enough and everyone has their own, but statements like you were told are plain dumb and must have been down to that person's car having something else wrong or them being a particularly poor driver. H&Rs are decent kit too, don't get me wrong, but I wish people didn't go around talking smack about kit when they're just shooting fish cos it means other people end up making biased and possibly less-sensible choices. Anyways...enough of my waffle ...
The Eibach Pros are a superb piece of kit - lower stance, superior ride, nice progressive suspension spring. Awesome value for money. As for the ride at speed and on the track - I'll provide the photo Fas mentioned of the car ahead of one of my psycho no-passengers-allowed laps - something that's not too easy to do if the suspension isn't performing properly! (the rear sat exactly the same height without the sub box in the boot, btw)

P.S Bear in mind they haven't fully settled so expect a slight drop to that of the pics.

Both Eibach and H&R are very good choices. However, if you decide to get the H&R, maje sure you get the Sport springs (40/40) and not Race (60/40). The Race version will drop your vert to the point that it becomes a pain to drive on a daily basis, especially the front drop.
But yep, Eibach will be my choice too for a convertible.

When I checked the H&R website they only listed one part No for M3 springs but they`re fecking low, I can`t clear the jacking pads on a drive on ramp. :D
