Another daft question

When looking at the engine in an E46 330i, which end is cylinder 6 and which end is cylinder 1??? front end cylinder 1 or firewall end??? :o

If you reverse it into a space, does the front then become the rear or is the front still the front... :confused: :p

Always used to be Front = 1 on in-lines, not 100% sure that it still applies but can't think of a reason why they would have reason to change it.

Cylinder 1 is closest to the bumper and six is closest to the bulkhead.
