Had my springs fitted today by Leo, a friend of Marks (Blacksabbath)

Turned up at the garage at around 9.30am to be greeted by another member's (Miller82) car  glad you came out ok mate and nice to meet you.

Then we had the car up on the ramp and started getting our hands dirty, well Leo did anyway :D

Once the car was back on the ground, i started fitting my handbrake lever and foot pedals. The footrest itself was too big and i had to leave it and not fit it :(

before:

after:

Was happy with the result of my springs once fitted, first impression was that it was still comfy to drive but was even better round corners, also visually i noticed a nice drop but was guaranteed a further drop as the srings settle in. Also happy with the interior now as the pedals have livened up the inside of the car :)

Leo had the springs fitted in 1 hour 30-45mins and was of plenty of help when i started fitting my pedals, he also sorted me a very good price for fitting ;) PM Mark for further info
Also got to thank Mark (Blacksabbath) for letting us use the garage and trying to rip my oem handbrake off without breaking my windscreen lol :D
Thanks mate

looking good bro, the foot rest is always bigger, it over hangs a bit but thats fine as it gives you more area to rest your foot on. I have the same kit in my M3, so should fit:http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb208/Hidesh/DSC00141.jpg

Good point bro but you only have the two pedals with the SMG. I think with the three it may be a bit tight :p

Mehmet, i've got some similar pedals for my car and was going to fit them today but didn't get time. How did you fit yours in the end looking at mine the screw holes seem to be too far out at the bottom to get a good fixing on the pedal

Nice looking mods by the way bro :D

Cheers Jay :)

I had the same problem but i rang Teddy and was told that its only the top two screws that need fitting, and thats what i done, it is still on there firmly and doesnt seem to move or affect driving pleasure.

Styler, like Jay said dude, my footwell looks too tight with the footrest there, ill have to modify it to fit how i want.

Im waiting for tomorow when its a little more sunny to take decent pics to show the difference in the drop. before/after.

Dude the clutch and brake are easy, just remove the rubber and line the pedals up (i used masking tape) and drill thru.
The clutch is plastic and the brakes is metal so take it with ease.
I removed the whole accelarator to fit the ACS pedals as this is easier, just look behind the accelarator for a clip towards the middle, unclip the SLIDE to the LEFT and unplug. its a nightmare trying to get the bolts in place without removing the pedal.

Let me know how you get on with them bro :)

Good to see you and your brother today Mehmet, glad to be able to help out.I know you didn't post the lowered pictures up but for those who want to know
it was settling down just nicely :D .As for that handbrake cover getting it off was a pain in the arse  However Mehmet must have been doing special wrist exercises because he had the grip to get the cover moving up the shaft :D :D

Leo is a top bloke isn't he? He fitted the ACS springs on my E38 for a quarter of the price the dealer wanted!

Scorcher, Mark and Leo are both cool guys, also very helpful and friendly.
Mark also noticed the springs settling in before we left, as when you look at the pics its not too noticeable.

Sye, its a very good mod mate, visually and hanling wise better, let me know if they work good with the spacers you have.

Shimano, thanks for that mate :)

yes stanley knife, make sure you cut tight to the passenger side of the oem footrest then when you position the new one in place keep tapping with the rubber mallet and it will push the carpet over until it sits flush but the cut will be hidden under the new footrest.:)

looking good mehmet.

re: footrest. Get the right footrest for your car. You've obviously got the wrong one regardless of how it's labelled. I had ACS reps back in the day, along with countless other e46 owners, and they fit perfect. I moved to genuine ones, but the bodge job you're planning is ridiculous.

dont cut the carpet , i cut the foot rest with an angle grinder a bit crude but there was no way i was cutting the carpet . i tried to order the springs to day but no luck so ill try again tomorrow
