Bad luck bennyboy, most important you are OK.

Accidents have been blessing in disguise to many as the catalyst to mental modding, since you're replacing the original parts anyway, must as well go for something different ;)

PS: To attach pic from your hard disk, you need to click on mangae attachment on the page below your post and upload the pic that way.

Ouch, two weeks and that happens, like Nick says most important thing is you got away safely though. To be honest, if you were hacking it onto a motorway, you got off pretty damn lightly if that's all that happened when it span, I've seen people get into trouble at way lower speeds and do all manner of damage to their cars..

At least you are unharmed mate and that amount of damage seems pretty lucky. As many people before me have said, "you can replace the car, but you cant replace the person" :)

Good excuse for mods too :p

Does the 318is have traction control, i couldnt find any signs of it in Bens car lastnight. Unlucky though Ben, now you can put some iforged on there :p

Yeah it should do, on that model it should be a button by the gearshift marked DSC, I'm sure I had it on my old company 318is about 7 years ago. I def had it on my old E36 323. Both of those were 98 models though, so maybe they fitted it as an end-of-line spec if it wasn't OE before? If they did fit it as OE, I know that some non-UK models didn't have it fitted as standard (certainly the US spec cars didn't), so it may be that his car is an import. More likely to be the former though.

On some of the older models they had ASC instead of DSC. Again the button should be located by the gear shift.

my 316i has traction control marked ASC so im guessing his does!... If its wet and you turn that off  Wheelspinning left right and center! Back end also slides out if you take a corner a bit hard with a few to many revs :D.

Theres no buttons at all on it. Doesnt even seem to be a traction control light on the dash

Aye, I'm thinking maybe they threw ASC (spotted my deliberate typo Raj lol ;) ) on the end of line E36s to try and shift them (both my 318 and 323 were post-E46 registered). Would explain why Ben's doesn't have it - what year is it?
