View Full Version : Loads of ballers on here
Hi all,
My name is Michael and I have been reading this forum for a while now but not posting. After reading Tilly's post about his new car thought I'd make my first proper post.
It's quite inspiring the amount of ballers on this one forum. Tilly getting a 40k car at the age of 21, and I think I read Juber is 19? driving a nice TT convi. Then there's member's pre-ordering the new GTR, owning Porsche Turbos, and the best thread must have been this one guy (forget his name) just randomly buying a lambo lol. You guys all seem to be doing well in life financially/career wise and it's nice to see people enjoying life this way.
I'm currently 23 (24 in April :S so many things to do so little time) and have had a e36 325i coupe since I was 21 (and I thought that was good! lol). I've lived in London nearly all my life and finally graduating this summer after 6 years of study (medicine with another BSc in-between). Really looking forward to earning finally (though NHS is really trying hard to cut our pay!), and am thinking of treating myself to a new car when I do.
Ideally would love a e46 M3 but really doubt I will be able to afford one as its about 25k for a decent one. I'd settle for a z4, hopefully 3.0, get one for about 15k or so. I've already got a private number plate for a new car :p
Just thought I'd introduce myself and say hi, mods please move this post to the relevant section if it's in the wrong place.

Hi,
Welcome to the mad house mate. If you really wanted an M3 you could pick a good 2003 coupe for less than 20k.

welcome dude, hope you'll have fun here :) ballers or not, we're a happy(ish) family and all are welcome.
Welcome along mate, you can find decent M3s for £15-£18k now.
yep would like to mod my next car too.
Currently on my 325 coupe there's:
- oem mtech front, rear bumper and spoiler
- full black leather interior
- supersprint exhaust
- red and clear rear lights, cleared indicators
- gen 6 angel eyes
- carbon fibre roundels on bonnet and boot
- leather central arm rest
- jbl sub and amp, sony cd changer, sony mp3 head unit
- 18" ACS type 3 racing reps
It's mainly just cosmetics on this car as mileage is very high so didn't bother to do any performance enhancements.
Tbh atm the car is not in too great of condition. The passenger side got keyed leaving a fairly long scratch mark, and a 4x4 must have reversed into the bonnet leaving another dent. I'm not really bothered in fixing these now as its an old car ('92) and it gives me a reason to move on lol.

welcome mate, i really think you should get an m3. they are not 25k, unless you want a 05/06 plate, or a convertible.
my friend just started work at royal free last year. pay sucks for the amount of work he did to get his degree, and the hours he works.
but it will all change eventually, once his upgraded.

Hello mate welcome to the site :)
Loving the 325 and if you want to upgrade to an M3 it's very possible at 23 I should know ;) Although insurance is extremely painful
Don't believe the 25k hype you could pick up a real nice one for 18-20 K
Good luck :)
welcome dude, hope you'll have fun here :) ballers or not, we're a happy(ish) family and all are welcome.
And Fas likes to get particularly happy:

Thanks, you never know. Those pics are a bit old, made some changes since (looks and sounds even better now hahaaha). This year i'm gonna go all out, got some big plans, but they may turn into tiny plans once the missus finds out! lol
There are lots of nice looking cars on the forum, you can pick up lots of ideas and inspiration from here for your own car and by coming to Evotechnik meets and seeing them in the flesh.

how much do you pay for your insurance if you don't mind me asking?
I live in probably the worse post code you can have for car insurance, it's just so expensive in inner London. I'm still on my dad's policy with Direct Line, been with them for a while so have a bit of 'named driver' NCD, how much use that will be I'm not too sure yet.

Hi Michael
Welcome to the forum. Well all these things will be possible as it sounds like you are starting a good career.
You also live in a country where (to me) cars are dirt cheap, ok not cheapest in the world but to me still extremely cheap. Sounds like u have worked hard for the past 6 years at med school, and I am sure it will all pay off soon. Just make sure you post pics when it does!! :D

Welcome to the forum Michael, glad to have another car nuthead in the London area.
Peppernick is a good example of a hard working doctor that deserves to be paid accordingly, looking through his old posts will get you somethign to look up to :)
Best of luck with your job but don't forget modding at the same time. This will keep you going :D
ps LMAO @ Mega's pic. You are so dead.
Thanks for the kind welcome everyone, it really is friendly around here :p
Scorcher: those black rims were some old momo arrows sprayed black, one of them unfortunately had a crack in it and I could not find another 18" momo arrow anywhere so I got a set of 18" ACS Type 3 racing reps.
Teddy: I've bought a couple of things of you before for my uncle's 330Ci, will be coming to you with all my modding needs when the time comes! I am happy to find out that peppernick is a Doctor, he seems to be living a good life and so there is light at the end of the tunnel lol.

best advice, never post a pic of yourself ;)
nice car, any side view pics of that? the front looks very clean and mean. I like it :)
M3 - I've looked from time to time and they have come down a lot. As has been said 18k or so will get you a nice one without silly miles in the colour combo you want.
