Let's face it, owning a car and not tweaking it, no matter how nice it is is just plain boring.
My 'theme' this time with the CLK is a Sleeper :D So mods will be performance orientated (plenty planned :D ), and the exterior will look like 'just another Merc on the road' .....
Starting today, I fitted a Sprint Booster. This clever little device is quite an innovation without one having to pay significantly more for a one off throttle re-map. It's made in Greece, and it's an add on device that mimics the 'Sport' button we are familiar with on an E46 M3. The difference is very noticable ;)

HERE (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-Skix-0CZc) is a video explaining what it is (in Greek ...... lol :D )
Drive-by-wire throttle is easy to tune. Sprint Booster increases throttle exponential, ie. the throttle butterfly opens more at any given gas pedal position except near wide open throttle. Cars with automatic gearboxes, it also shortens the lag between throttle movement and kick down. And on a Mercedes Benz, this is the most noticable aspect. Overall, the whole car comes alive! The throttle feels so much more responsive
This is what it looks like (pics taken from another forum, and standard installation on all modern Mercedea Benz with drive-by-wire).

The throttle pedal assembly has to be taken out to fit this mod. On Mercs, it involves loosening a nut, followed by pulling the assembly towards you and then downwards.

Unplug the switch that connects to the throttle assembly and fit the Sprint Booster in between the throttle assembly and the main connector.

Reverse the disembly steps and you're done. 10 mins job
Here's a graph depicting what the Sprint Booster does.

Another video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmtIOiUj1XQ&feature=related) showing what is does .... :D
Overall for less than £150, a mod that does what it says on the tin. I recommend the Sprint Booster to anyone. Cars with automatic transmission boxes you'll notice the effect the most.
