Been offered the chance to get the car remapped at a good price and just wondering what gains I would realistically see on the power and torque curves. Car is completely standard at the mo  but may purchase the Gruppe induction kit and considering an Exhaust upgrade. Just looking for some pointers really on the best place to start.

This has been covered a lot on here. Search for re-map and you should get plenty of hits. Don't forget also that a 'good' price is only good if it's a good re-map.
Basically, you'll get negligible power and torque, but you'll get much smoother cold running and idling.

http://forum.evotechnik.net/showthread.php?t=18532&highlight=re-map is a good example. Sal's post (#21) is especially worth reading, good info there.

Yep, focus is more on drivability :)

You may see some improvements on the dyno, but also bear in mind how soon will your nerve endings get use to such increment and everything seems like what it was again.

Personally all I would want from a remap (without changing cams or complete exhaust system, etc.) would be to remove the limiter (speed and static rev limit).
