Xenon retro fot to E46 M3

Looking for a little advice if anybody can help.

I have just bought a CSL but the car does not have xenons, I know on some E46 models you can fit the xenon headlights and get the ECU flashed and everything works fine. Will this work on the M3?

Congrats on the purchase mate. Post up some pics Thought xenons were standard on M3s and CSL's ? If not sure it would just be a case of retro fitting and then flashing the ECU. Not 100% on this someone else will confirm.

Congrats! Cracking car. Some CSLs come with halogen headlamps (some purist do spec them this way) but xenons are no cost option.

Retrofitting is as straight forward as any other E46s, as the CSLs don't have auto headlamps, all you need are just the xenon headlamps, probably a new LCM and a reflash, whcih any garage with an Autologic diagnostic tool can do for you. With regards to the xenon levellers, as you are retrofitting the xenon, legally you are 'not obligated' to have them.

Thanks guys, pleased that it reasonably straight forward as I was gutted when it didn't have them.
