I've been thinking about getting my rear and front lights tinted, what is the best of doing this?
I've read about a few people using tint film, but looks a bit fiddley.

yeah go with tint spray if your looking to do yourself. but if you want more neat finish go with tint film. go to your local tint garage should'nt cost more than 80quid mate.

Tint film will give you a glossy finish. I've got loads of film doing nothing in the garage you're more than welcome to if you want to experiment

hope your thinking of the white parts only? Tint spray would give you the best finish IMO.

I wanted to try do something like this:

With silver grey, it would look even meaner. This fella did it by painting them.
I was intrested in doing that on my black 330ci. Is it legal though?

im intrested in this......let us know what option you choose and how it turns out in the end.
Styler, Othersides back lights are tinted using his own mix of lacquer and bmw paint. He practiced on some spare headlights till he got the right shade. you have to be ver careful using that technique though as the lights can become opaque very quickly

Hello mate I did this on my Polo G40 using the tint spray. Gives a nice finish if applied correctly. Word of warning though if you go down the spray route build it up in layers as it takes a while for the final shade to come through and you can end up going opaque very quickly !! This is from experience :(
Think it would look awesome on your car mate and quite a unique mod

I have been thinking about doing this with the tint film as I think I am going for a bit of a Red and Black theme.
But I need the new wheels first to pull it off.
