I purchased one of these today (4 door 'sedan' version), extremely cheap from a family member.
It's been sat for around a year, and in need of a little bit of attention, mostly bodywork (I'm aiming for mintness, so a respray will be on the cards) and a fuel leak from what I can see.
Just trying to find out a bit more information on these. I've read on the ACS site about it, but was hopeing someone could tell me some more technical details on how these are different from the normal 325. I understand there are improvements to brakes and suspension, what about power? What is their output, and is there any improvement over the standard 325, if so, how much?
Also, is there any sure way to tell if it's genuine?
Will get some pics this weekend.
some one i know had a green one a wile ago hes had up graded suspension wheels and a few body work bits

welcome to the forum! sounds like a nice motor.
I know a few people on e36coupe.com have these cars so it might be worth a look there.
it should have a plaque with a serial number on it.
if it does phone ACS for info, it should match your chasis number.

To be honest with you, I haven't really looked at the car, other than the exterior. It was bought at a price that (imo) even if it was just a rep, it would have still been a good buy (£400 for the record).
Before anyone slates me for buying a car without looking at it, I bought it off my dad, and trust him 100% on how he's described it to me.
I estimate with a few hours work, £100 in supplies, and £600 on a mate's rate, good quality respray, the car would have cost me £1100 for a minter, being a genuine ACS would be one hell of a bonus imo.
It does appear to have the full body kit, wheels, seats etc. from what I've been told. I'll go check it out in the light tomorrow, and hopefully get some pics if I can.

well you cant go wrong with £400! you would get alot more than that back if you just sold the parts.
i can help you more when i see pics.
if it was real and in good condition it would be worth 10 times what you paid!

it's been allowed to get tatty on the outside, but has been maintained meticulously mechanically, with nearly £2k being spent in it's final year of service to the previous owner (it's been sat for a year since)
Let's just hope it genuine ;)

The other thing I wanted to know about was LSD.
Did either the 325 or the ACS 325 come with LSD? This would make me very happy :)

checked it out in the light today.
Everything exterior seems to be ACS, grille, spoiler, exhaust, splitters etc.
Inside, it seems like a normal BMW interior to me, but the trim above the glove box has ACS printed on it (not a sticker)
Was the interior an option?

the best thing to do is phone ACS and give them the chasis No. and they will tell you if they have built it or not.
or some one could have just spent a lot on genuine parts to make a decent rep.
I think the real ACS 325i was bord out to 2.7L amongst a few othe tweeks
and did have a LSD.

Didnt realize ACS sell their concept cars?..
Only cars I thought they sell was E36 Widebody M3. Which I think there are 3 in UK?
Like most people say phone or email ACS. Or post some pics of the car, So at least we can tell if it a fake or not.

Thanks Mr. Sideways, also spoken to the local dealer (It's a local car, and only one BMW dealer where I live) who are going to give me a call back monday with the results.

Just spoke to Chris Rossetti (I think that was his last name) At ACS-UK. He couldn't tell me by the chassis number or anything like that as far back as the e36, however he cleared a few things up for me;
Lots and lots of people went for the handling and styling packages, you didn't have to have the complete package.
If it has the ACS engine, it'll be 3 litre, and *should* have a cf valve cover, other than that, he couldn't tell me any particular way to know for sure, does anyone else have any ideas on that front?
Perhaps maybe worth just getting it on the rollers once it's up and running.
