Posted this on BMWCar so apologies if any of you have already read it. Thought it might be useful for any 4 pots on here who are thinking about changing discs but dont have money for a big brake kit.

....Okay, so as nice as it would be to have as many 'pots' in my calipers as in my engine bay, alas, its not quite as exciting!

Just had a brake overhaul, new discs, pads, drums, shoes and cylinders! Was going to get standard parts as im selling car at the end of the year but the brembo discs and pagid fast road pads weren't that much more so...well, im a sucker for mods! [B)]

Yes, okay, so they're only diddy discs comapred with what most of you guys have got, and YES they're solid...

...but they are grooved and a clever little feature is that all non contact surfaces are painted, so you don't get the rusty look. Bonus!

As for performance, well, i suspect they'll not be any different to standard but placebo will probably suggest otherwise. Currently they feel a bit slow to respond. Not sure if its the bedding in or the Pagis Fast Roads pads just aren't hot enough. They do seem to get better when you stamp on them for a while.

Anyway, considering they're not much more than standard they're worth it for looks alone in my opionion. [cool
