On the prowl for an e60

Good afternoon gents and ladies,

My pops is on the look out for an e60. Preferably a 525 or a 520. It doesn't really matter which one as he is getting on and doesnt really have the energy he used to. Obviously I'm going to try and force him into a 525. Maybe even a 530 but I doubt it

Is there any absolute must haves on the e60 or any issues that I should look out for when buying a 5er? Its my job to source it and pick one out. I'll have to fly over and drive it back..... yummy :D I'm looking for an e60 built in late 2003/2004.

I know there aren't that many 5er owners (if any) so even if anyone can point me in the right direction? Any advice is much appreciated.

I think these cars are too new for anyone to really find out the flaws but as far as I can tell, they are very good. Was looking into a manual 545i not long ago and I can say is that you might want to avoid the servotronic steering.

Go for 535D if you can (the twin turbo deisel) - and defo get one with the SPORT kit... it can look real phat in the right colour!! go for Jet Black with a light interior if poss...

He won't go near a diesel, don't know why.

Sport kit is very very tasty but I will be modding it anyway so it doesn't matter whats its dressed in initially.

I like sparkling graphite, silver-ish (?), and black. Blue don't look half bad either
