BMW Speaker Wire colours

If you're referring to the rear speaker wires, the brown one is the negative. There will be one on each rear speaker.

Where do you intend to splice the wires for a high level link? If you do it from the bunch of wires behind the side bolster of the rear seat, you will find that blue/brown wires running along the main bunch. Those are the speaker wires.

If you have a factory amp in the boot (BMW Hi-Fi, HK and factory Nav unit) you will see 2 stacks of blue/brown wires (one from the front speakers). You will need a volt metre to test out which stack is which.

I just splice them directly to the wires under the rear speakers for high level feed and hide the wires behind the trunk carpet. Easier that way.

thanks for that mate. I aint thought of where to splice yet aint taken it all out yet.. are the bunch of wires on the left or right hand side of the rear seats.
