Hi Guys,
I am looking for your advice and thoughts on whether I should tint the windows on the new toy. I do like tints and have always had my cars done but this is my first black car and I dont want to pimp it up too much. So I am thinking about a light grey tint rather than anything too heavy.
What do you think? Anyone got any pics of black cars with various levels of tints on??
Thanks in advanced.

I've got midnight on the rears and twilight on the fronts, however with its black interior it makes it seem very dark.I haven't ever had any problems with the old bill around here but a lot depends on where you travel I suppose

i think u'll get away with having a light tint up front and medium rears like Mark. black car just enhances the darkness and it's just an excuse to get stopped/fined. ask around your mates in your area and see how anal local coppers are and judge it for yourself
Personally... GO FOR IT. It will really look sweet. As you say, don't go too dark. 50% would be very subtle and discreet or 35% if you want it just that little bit darker.

Mine were really dark tints on a black car and never had a problem. Most cops would let you off anyway unless you were a knob about it. They seem to concentrate on the Corsa's/saxos etc.
Go for tints one of the best mods you can do

As requested here are some pics. I love tints but as this is a different style of car I am concerned that dark windows wont look as good as they do on your lovely rides. Ive already been accused of dealing drugs so really want to avoid that further :) .
I went to my local tinters today and looked at a "light" tint on a black X5 and was surprised how dark it was. Oh bugger lol.
Tonite il post pics of my families black SL with dark smoke tints, you can see exactly what they look like

Do it :)
light smoke fronts and medium rears. On the hardtop, I've done the rear screen limo. The local police are happy with it as they can still see inside it.

I'm hoping to tint the rears to 50%, but think i'll leave the fronts untouched. I think its unlikely the old bill will pull you over so long as you dont go over the top for the front, but the issue i have is for insurance purposes. Anything more than 30% at the front is illegal, so if you have an accident its a pretty easy get out for the insurance company.
And i cant find anyone that does 30% tints, apart from southcoast tints all the way down in bournemouth:(
