I had my car re-mapped with Kav (aka westside) and a few others on Saturday and what a difference....
To be honest the car is not at all noticeably quicker although a 12 BHP gain is apparently there, however it is soooooooo much smoother and enjoyable to drive.
On Saturday morning on route to have it done I set the mpg computer on the car and the cruise control at 75 (mainly motorway miles). When I arrived, it read that I had averaged 28mpg. On the way back I did the same and the car average 30mpg! Pulling away the car is as it should be with no flat spots or fear of stalling. I have lost count the number of times I stall my car due to the drive by wire flat spots etc!! Gear changes are actually now a pleasure because it is just so damn smooth.
Anybody thinking of doing this should just go ahead because if you have a reputable company do it, you will not be disapointed [ok

yeah my 330 has responded rather well to the flast spot has also gone i think with the induction kit and exhaust the overall complate package seems fine. Kris he does a special remap for the e36 328 boys i.e. they have the bigger manifold and throttle body so i could ask him what he can do for a SSK equiiped 330 or i can pass you his number viz pm if you want. The same compnay did my last e46 328 and has done loads of other BMW with OB2 ECU. HE also clears any errors codes (if you want) and check the engine afterwards i.e make sure all cylinders are firing with the corrects pressure etc etc he has all the toys on his lap top
I can deffo recommend Simon for re-mapping as he is a top bloke. The map he used on my 328 has released a few extra horses but has definitely made the car run smoother through the revs. A must for all modders. I have tried convincing non-modders to map their cars as it is the first thing I always do and it makes such a difference.
Kav, is this all done via the OBDII port on the dash? or the diags socket in the engine bay for those cars that have that? does he have a facility to program the DME directly if required?

Thanks for the feedback guys and a big shout to Kav for organising the meet.
H4PRY, you have a very nice car, i have always liked the E46 cabs :) :)
@ Tin, we can apply the remap directly to the ECU if required on the E46 6 cylinder ECU's, Siemans MS42 and MS43 but not the MS41, E36 6 cyl

I will be going to a meet that Westside has organised on June 25th if you can make it there. The price is the same, £200 for non turbo cars with 10% going to the local charity, The Helen Rollason Cancer Care Centre Appeal.
The address where we are meeting :
Leisure West
Air Park Way
Feltham
Middlesex
TW13 7LX
I think you will all agree this is a worth while cause and 10% of the days taking will be donated to the charity at the end of the day. I did go last year and over 80 cars turned up on the day so please come along and support such a good cause :) :)
