He has emptied his boot tonight and removed his DVD player, wrapped some 'polarizing substance' around his air intake to purify air flowing into his engine :confused: :confused: (dude, I know you're into alternative medicine and accupuncture but this......I don't know man.........)

It's not the diesel that counts, it's the tuning. It's all about the torque.. ;)

If its is Ants, im sure something like 300bhp and a huge torque spread. And its no tuning box either. Should be a good match i reckon.

in standard form (2004), the 330 diesel seems to have 0-60 in 7.2 sec, 210bhp, 302lb/ft@1750rpm, 241kph max...

there is also a Hartge model with 220bhp, 345lb/ft@1950rpm

I'm getting contradicting specs and I found this from parkers so this might be the correct one for UK models....

330diesel
184bhp, 141mph max, 390Nm, 0-60 in 7.6sec, 42mpg

M3
325bhp, 155mph restricted, 365Nm, 0-60 in 5.0sec, 23mpg

Its a 330cd which means it has the newer 204bhp engine. Its probably been mapped though so should be kicking a min 240bhp and shed loads of torque.

I was having it with a 330d touring on the autobahn on the way to infinitas and I pissed all over him, that's in a 330ci vert. without the supercharger.

Anyway guys thanks for your comments, yup been there beat that lol it's a monster 330D facelift saloon, I didn't bother listening to his mod lists while he was talking to Ian from PBMW but I heard it's something like 300bhp etc, I am sure details will be included in next month's PBMW. Can't Wait!

Yes Lee, it's Ant's 330D. I had a BIG BIG English breakfast on the day at a service station and almost felt sick afterwards lol...thought it would be a long trip so I filled up with Optimax the night before but when I got there I had close to 3/4 tank left. The Diesel guy obviously came with an empty tank as he had to go out twice to get some petrol. We did a normal start and I smoked his ass lol at least 4 cars length in front. Did a rolling start at 40mph, he kept up with me till 105mph and I smoked him again. This was partly due to the fact that I didn't see Ian's green light and he floored 1sec earlier than I did.

Anyway my best times were:
0-60 - 5.45 secs
0-100 - 13.27
1/4 mile - 14.01 @ 102.72
max speed - 149.49mph
mile time - 35.15

My 0-60 was faster than any other cars in this month's PBMW Thrash test lol

Bruntingthorpe track is quite deceiving so I hit the brake too early otherwise my top speed would have been better. These figures were from my second run (I only had 4 runs on the day while the D had about 7-8 runs) so I am sure I could have obtainted better times in the afternoon with light fuel tank.

As Nick said I mowed the grass a couple of times due to late braking, I also spun out of track trying to give Ian and the photographer Max some sideway actions, I am sure they took some pictures with me on the grass and hopefully you will be able to see them in next month's PBMW lol My new VTTR brakes wer fantastic, tried braking from 150mph down to 60mph in 2-3 sec and do it like 15 times in a single day. They're still fine and feel even better than before :D

Tin I launched my car at 2500 rpm, guess I could rev a bit higher next time. The weather was perfect, totally dry track. Guys we must go there together one day, 50 pounds per hour, minimum 2 hours booking. Usually it's empty as a ghost town, we were lucky to get that many cars on that the shootout day. What say you? I spun off track twice and still survived, brake still working wondefully, no pink smoke though hahaha It's a huge track you don't really feel you are going that fast until it's too late haha
