My car has been in for warranty repairs only, so my recommendations go along those lines. If you're prepared to travel, the BWM garage near Heathrow is good. They found out what the problem (steering column) was and said they would replace for free but they didn't have the part. Then I took it to stephen james wiht the same problem, who were so full of crap, they said "we dont cover squeeks and rattles".

I've used Ruislip BMW just a few weeks ago (central locking and regulator problem) and they were good. Very straight forward. Try Vines of Redhill who were excellent, if you fancy a drive to South London.....Search "Vines" on here and you might find a recommendation

Ask Paul (Mystic Sport) for recommendations on dealers he's been to more than most.

Cheers Mark :p . I have only used Kent based dealers. I have found that coopers at tunbridge wells is good but not very tollerant of mods. I fell out with broadoak ashford when I first used them but used them a couple of weeks ago for an insp2 and found it a much more pleasant experiance. I could go on but it would make for rather dull reading ;) .

I have always used Scotthall in Watford and found them to be very obliging and helpful. Important thing is that they have always done a fantastic job to my car.

hr owen in scrubs lane is quite poor, I have a mate who is a tech there and I'v been there an he's the only one that knows what he's doing from what i saw.
if its for warranty work try hexagon in kentish town. they are the most expensive dealer in the uk i think but if its warranty that wont bother you. They are very good and if your lucky i might even work on your car.
Stephen james in enfield i have heard bad things about too.
