View Full Version : Slight buzz noise? Normal?

Right,

On my e46 M3, when i have the ignition turned but the engine not running, you can hear a slight buzz coming from the engine bay(bonnet open). Sounds like a small fan? Well it sounds like it's struggling intermittedly untill it's been on for a few minutes? Is this normal? What is it?

is it SMG ? if it is, its the SMG pump .

if not the engines gonna go KABOOOOM after this post. ( I JOKE )

Always wonderd what that noise was every time i walked up to the car and unlocked it, someone once sugested the fuel pump.

nah it's a manual... like an anti-perc fan or something...?

is it coming from the dashboard?
