Iam goin to upgrade my whole suspension. Springs. shocks and anti roll bar. Just to knw if there any difference. between the Eibach or H&R?

Iam planning to get these in America.

Price for Eibach is 480. H&R is 580

not including P&P.

Can any1 match these prices here in UK?

hi silver

go for Eibach , Hand R is too harsh .

we can supply either , let me quote you if you like . remember if ordering from the USA that :

- in general US spec springs and dampers are softer than UK ...not a good thing
- you need to add approx 19% to the total dollar cost INCLUDING shipping for combined import VAT and duties that customs will charge you
- Some suppliers will send you an undervalued customs invoice to reduce the import vat , but the downside is A) customs are not stupid , if they think you are trying it on they will charge you the vat whatever the customs invoice says , b) the delivery is only insured for the value on the customs invoice .

As eibach is german , we can definately supply cheaper than USA which has to account for two lot sof shipping in this case ....

let me know what you think

Eibachs are generally more 'down-tuned' with a bit more reserve in the comfort zone. Their springs score top marks, you can't fault them in anyway. Not too sure about their dampers as they are never reknowned for dampers. Usually it's Koni, Bilstein and H&R.

H&R springs drop the front end more and overall, the drop is more aggressive but only slightly. However, their cup kits are extremely well tested and very popular among modders throughout the world (except UK where things are generally slower anyway).

H&R coilovers are good but they are very harsh. Very performance orientated. But when it comes to coils, there's only one name.....Bilstein and their PSS9 kit. Extremely versatile and tunable but they are also the most expensive bar the track orientated coils like Moton and branded stuffs like AC Schnitzer and Dinan.

If you're buying separately, I suggest Eibach Sportline, Koni adjustable shocks and Eibach roll bars. Get the Powerflex roll bar bushes as the stock ones tend to squeak a bit unless you keep them well lubricated at all times. You mantain the suppleness of the springs and the Koni shocks are fully adjustable. They come factory set at 50% front and rear and it's an excellent starting point.

If you're going for a kit, I recommend H&R cup kits and Eibach roll bars. The suspension will not be as supple as the Eibachs but the H&Rs give very good chassis control. Plus H&R cup kits are better value for money with some trade off in comfort compared to the above Eibach/Koni package.

personally i would go with eibach ive got them on my e46 and had them on e36 aswell they handle awesome and have good ride.

Roy will be a better option than importing yourself you never know what import tax you will get, and hes probably cheaper anyway !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, just that you are aware of postage of such heavy items to the UK from US. I enquired about a pair of front BBKs which weighs in at 28lb and the postage via Fed-Ex was $470. They can send via USPS and then handled by Parcel Force but like my CSL splitters, until today (4 months) they don't know where the heck the splitters are.

Your suspension kit is going to be a mega big and heavy package (esp with the roll bar) so if you add in PP and potential taxation, you'll be lucky to break even if you sourced the parts over here. Unless you can't get certain items over here or if they are ridiculously cheap, for such bulky items I'll stick to local suppliers; or even better still our forum sponsor ;)
