The SLK is going. After 16 months its time was up and shes been traded in for a new beast. will be hopefully picking the Audi S5 up tomorrow.

Phantom black, magma red leather with carbon trim. have asked them to tint the windows.

will post pics tomorrow after i collect, im having V8 dreams tonight

Congratulations, they are awesome pieces of kit ! a chap who works below me has one. Black suits the car so well. :cool:

they looks much better that the new 3 series in my eyes atleast ! if only they drove slighlty more rear wheel orientated !

You are going to have one of those long sleepless nights ! :D

Congrats mate! Such a nice car, loved the S5 so much, i tried getting a test drive in one last weekend, but i dont think they will let me lol

Can you opt out of the chrome side window strip? That is one thing I thought that is not too visually pleasing other than the wing mirrors that are slightly too large.

Oh, on RS4 rims :cool: :cool:

Doh Vin you beat me to it! I went to dealer to test drive one but they only had lefthand drive one in showroom and for some reason they said its not allowed to be taken out at that time so I left and totaly forgot about ordering it!

remember my thread back in May about me being an Audi fan? LOL

congrats mate saw one the other day loving the LED lights on it too! like R8

What is the difference between engines specs on this and an RS4? I've always wondered because as far as I'm aware the S4/S5 both share the same 4.2 V8 FSi engine as the RS only at what must be a lower state of tune, the S5 is 350bhp (I think?) whereas an RS4 is 415bhp out of the crate...

There could be an interesting/potentially cheap way of boosting up to RS power with a few bolt on OEM toys... anyone aware of this?

Juber: yeah i will put it on but overtime.

Tilly: the salesman said its a detuned RS4 engine for lower down and greater torque. (basically its the engine prepared for auto box-hence spins to 7k rpm not 8k plus like rs4)

Although mine is manual, and after 3.5 years of auto im a bit poor at gearchange.

MMI is amazing, and the Bang&Olufsen sound system is excellent

Not much can be done for tuning on the new S4 either at the minute :( Audi did a very good job from the factory.

Bang&Olufsen sound system is excellent

probably the best sound system for a car out there, 20 times better than Bose & Harmon kardon and also looks so rich! :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool:

Congrats mate - I took East kent Audi's S5 demo (Sprint blue with Silver Nappa leather (as attached)) out on an extended test drive a couple of weekends ago, spent 4 hours ripping the crap out of it on my own and I loved it :D

Was really tempted by it (and so was everyone I took out in it)... :cool:

Fantastic Vin - As nice as that SLK was, it was the right thing to do; the S5 looks amazing - great choice and the right colour!!!! Post some day time pics when you get a chance :)

even tho i am a big BMW fan i would choose that over a e92 anyday.
and i have never realy been in to audi's.

oh my god, that interior in one of the sexiest things I have ever seen outside of my bedroom ;)

Saw Vin's S5 in flesh today. Absolutely gorgeous! :cool: The interior is class above anything else this side of a Maserati Grand Turismo. Engine sounds wonderful as well.

I was sorely tempted at one point but being such an accomplished chassis and 4WD, 350BHP is not enough in my books to it tickle my tongue ...... The RS5 should be good though :D

thanks for all the kind comments. im loving the car, will give it a good clean next weekend and post some quality pics.

like nick said, anyone looking to change into an E92 M3 in 2 years time should seriously consider the RS5 (if/when it happens)
