setting up a 'meet'

Hi guys,

Need your help with something!

I would like to set up a 'meet' over here on the isle of wight, as far as i know there is know BMW meet of any kind on the island but there is quite a few modified BM's going around.
Whats the best way to set up a meet, considering its from scratch? and what type of locations in general are good?
I really want to do this properly and have done for ages but its just getting it going!!!.......
Any ideas and suggestions would be good.

Usually it'll be much easier if you get them onto a forum and then you can go from there. It'll be difficult if you do not have an initial virtual meeting point especially if you don't know them.

The best way to do it is to advertise the website/forum on your vehicle so people will see the web address and log on. Those interested enough to attend meets will start posting and very soon you'll have yourself a local group. Hence, web stickers on your car are important ;)

The other way is to approach them directly. May not be a good idea for some as some of them are just not interested in sharing ideas; but no harm trying.
