Help Needed looking at a deal on M3

Guys i hope you can help.

I am looking to put a deposit on an M3 tomorrow 2004 Coupe Manual Pheonix Yellow 21k milesKnow it's not everyones cup of tea but i like it.

Ok here's the Question the only thing that ios putting me off is the seat option and maybe you guys can point me in the right direction.

The listing says Black M Texture Alcantara/nappa Leather

is this half leather seats if so is that a bad thing or a good thing??? :confused:

It's marmite. The alcantara section has a black base with coloured stripes on it (M colour, blue,white and red). I personally don't like them with this feature.

Damn saw a picture of this on BMWUSA is it just the centre bits or does it run through the door cards Nasty if you ask me put me right off the car bad thing is i am getting a cracking deal on it.

^^^^ yeah that was what i was thinking..... coz it looks quite sweet with plain alcantara. will have to wait though, Black Kidney Grilles first then the same on the side vents. Then Short Shifter and eibach's :D

Agree with the others. I wouldn't lose out on a really good deal just because of the trim. When the time suits you can get the re-trim done and then it will be spot on.

if your not too sure about the seats I would hold off. It's lot of money your spending and for something like the seats not being to your taste then this could be a costly mistake.

I'd also be concerned about resale. Most people will want leather on an M3, that fact you are going for a colour which is wanted by a minority and the seats not being leather would make me think twice about it. Maybe the seller would be willing to drop their price because of this.

^^^^^ Yeah undrstood and that was my concern as well. However i'm buying from a Stealer so thats not possible.


Thought Sod it and put a deposit on it today.

I intend to keep for at least 3 years so will look at having the seats done in that time I have a contact from detailing that will do it for me so should get a good price. :D

You could try Directline,currently paying £460 Full comp, (5+NCB - protected) for a 330D M Sport coupe and suprisingly they only want another £11.00 per year to upgrade to the 335D M sport coupe, no tracker,parked on driveway.A plan did come close though.

V5 pitched up today for the 335D, so I guess it's not far off.

No they never did any pics it was only in the dealer up north a day before i spotted it and my mates dealership pulled it for me.

should be going to see it this weekend. thpoug so will get some pics :cool:
