For IT bods that is a recognizable number!!
It is 1111111111111111 in binary
Indeed, however I see no reason whatsoever why that number would be drawn in from the db? Theres no way that field would ever be binary encoded AFAIK so thats kind of an irrelivence although I guess there must be a reason for it...

65535=64k. It's a known bug with php. Delete one message and it will sort itself out, it's just the default figure if it gets confused for some reason and the database gets it's knickers in a twist.

Huh? Binary is made up of 1's and 0's,
how can 65535 be a binary representation?

that numbers binary reoresentation is known if you have studied binary numbers.Every number has a binary representation
0= 0
1= 1
2= 10
3= 11
4= 100
.

That's not the answer to the question I was asking.
DK said "It (65535) is 1111111111111111 in binary"
I want to know if this is a grammatical error or something I missed studying for my Computing GCSE 17 years ago.
If DK said 1111111111111111 is 65535 in binary, it would have made sense, but he didn't and now I'm confused

He knows that you turnip! What he's asking is how 65535 can be a binary number when binary is a base1 numerical set.
What Neil meant was that 65535 is 1111111111111111 if you convert it to binary. All computational mathematics carries anomalies like that though, for example it's how subnetting works with IP addressing.
