I know its been discussed before and i've done a search etc but not really come to much of a conclusion.

At the moment i've got a carbonio intake fitted but since fitting it the car won't idle and has even stalled a few times. Tried to re-set the ecu but this hasn't helped much. Recently spoke to someone who knows a bit about the whole engine tuning thing and he's told me its a common fault, something to do with the pipe the MAF sits in being the incorrect size?

After doing a bit of research it seems that the OEM filter isn't all that bad but can be improved with a streamline filter. So where can i get one of these stream line filter things and whats out there that might be an improvement over this filter?

K&N do a panel filter to repace OEM unit which can make a difference. I have installed the Typhoon series Filter and have had no problems at all. There always the option of the carbon intake which again I presume doesnt cause any problems with the Maf.

I do a mod for the Carbonio system that eliminates the stalling. Drop me a pm if you want it done

Speed sorry to hear your having problems with the filter :( I had no issues and I'm sure Nick and Robin will vouch that they had none with theirs :)

I previously have the K&N Typhoon and had no problems with that either.

Hope you get it sorted :)

Ok think i've got it sorted now. When taking it to pieces i noticed the air filter cone had come away from where it slots on inside the housing so none of the air was actually being drawn through the filter. I've had the car running and all now seems fine but can't take it out for a spin as the car currently only has 3 wheels.
