I've fitted the clutch and brake pedals but I'm stuck with the accelerator pedal. I've drilled 4 holes without a problem but I just can't get my hand/finger behind 3 of the 4 holes to fit the nut onto the bolt. My pedal is a 2-piece pivot type and comes off the top, not a 1-piece pedal that sinks down through to the floor as pictured below...
Question...can I somehow/safely remove the pedal so that I can screw on the pedal whilst removed??? Searched elsewhere but nothing so far. Anyone?

Got mine in without taking the pedal off. Watchmakers tweezers and a steady hand :D
BTW your car needs a hover dude ;)

Mitsu, you don;t have to use the nuts. As long as you drill 2.5mm holes, the 3mm cap screws will simply tap into the plastic, well tight as too ;)
But may be too late now. Yes a pair of tweezers and a steady hand.

Dude, hot glue is your friend ;)
I couldn't fit one screw (bottom right), so I just hot glued it in place :D works perfectly. If you're worried about the pedal staying put, hot glue the whole thing into place ;) It's a bodge, but it works!

Fas, can u be more specific with the hot glue? what's it called? Can I use domestic stuff like no more nails (i have tons of this at home)? I've seen a silver tube that's got black goo in it, is that it (bondo or something)?

I did mine fine without removing the pedal. Like Fas said just hot glue it or use a superglue. After all 3 screw are more than enough to secure the pedal unless you drive like a maniac lol [cool

Actually, hot glue-ing may not be a good idea as the rubber section on the ACS pedal is merely clipped onto the aluminium pedal. The screws hold the pedal down, squeezing the rubber section between the OEM pedal and the aluminium one. If you just hot glue the back of the rubber section, the aluminium pedal can potentially fall off. Unless you glue the rubber to the aluminium pedal, which is messy.

Quite true, the rubber bit is not glued onto the metal pedal so hot gluing the rubber onto the plastic pedal will def cause the metal pedal to come off eventually. looks like i need to get some miniture tweasers and lots of time...
