Hi,

I am having problems with the Aircon in my 2002 M3. It blows cold air but not cold enough to cool the vehicle on a hot day. The gas was recharged when i bought the car in June and when it was done the dealer said it might be a leak but he cant see any liquid.

Has anyone had this problem before? i can hear the compressor come on when i switch the AC on so not sure what the problem is.

Thanks

Chaos

Sounds like a leak to me. Get it to a garage who can pressure test it for you, you should find out within 30 seconds if it has.

You might need a new pollen filter.

yh check you pollen filter. you be suprised how much difference that makes,

its located on the drivers side in the footwell to the left hand side. you may need to remove cover to get to it and is in a very awakard position

i change mine last yr and omg what a difference. i blows so much harder and colder. its not something that ppl change that often or even think of it at service time. but what a difference it made to my car.

check when you last changed the filter or jus on the safe side change it away. its cheap as chips to get a new one. if you replace it have a look at ur old one. you be suprised and shocked that you was breathin in all that cr*p before.

Read the post mate :D , He drives a E46 02 plate M3-the cabin filter is NOT located in the foot well! But on the bulkhead/scuttle panel held in by 3 clips. Also the air is not cold enough, He has enough air flow.

Agree with Chaos sounds like a leak.

Hey beemarman if your near n-london PM me, I might be able to help.
