hi
following the feature of Rui's black M3 that we did most of the work and all of the carbon on, I went to see him today to discuss making the carbon hardtop etc, while I was ther eI took some pics of it, thought some may like to see the close ups of the interior carbon parts :)

Just stunning, I love the door cards. One thing I can't understand though, with all the expense and carbon already thrown into the car, why has the engine cover not been changed for a carbon one?

is that a compromise to reducing the weight for it being a convertible :P convert is 160 kgs more heavier than coupe. need to get the engine bits too :p all that must of cost 1000s. just the normal trims costs about £600.

Roy just out of intererest how do you rate the gruppe m titaniam race exhaust to say a eisemann race level exhaust? noise and sound wise? if u know what i mean.

thanks guys
being a massive carbon lover myself it was great being able to "carbonise " almost an entire car using someone else's funds :)))
Rui is a great customer and a guy with taste, and we have not stopped here :) As the article said, hardtop is next, in weave to match the VRS boot, and probably some more interior and exterior parts...but we are seriously running out of things to change over to carbon.
Yes, Rui has spent quite literally thousands on just the carbon fibre elements of this car, but it is just stunning to see in real life.

mmm... Carbon:D stunning car, with some very nice touches, once you start with the carbon it's hard to stop, everything you look at you wonder how good it would look in carbon
are these items new moulds replacing the std parts or are these wrapped?

really sorry mate but we make these on an exchange basis and price accordingly, so the one we took off his car is now being used to make another carbon vesion, and so on :( sorry dude

Gruppe M make good exhausts no doubt ( but Dixis is slightly better), but they are LOUD. Also some of the Ti welding can crack after a while (due to the weld gas environment not always being 100% oxygen free).
Power wise there probably is nothing to choose between them, however ....the 4.5 kgs light weight for the Gruppe M represents the equivalent of a 4- 5 bhp power increase by itself, before you add on any power gain for the exhaust itself if you see what I mean.
