hello everyone,i am looking your opinion on this matter concerning rust on my car.i contacted bmw last week about rust on my titanium silver coupe after noticing some rust under the plastic cover on the door pillar(known rust area) and a small bubble just below the drivers side front wing(the thin strip between the wing and the side skirt),a few phone calls were made to the bmw approved bodyshop and without any qibble my car was booked in for last wednesday, happy days as bmw told me i was on the last day of my warranty(which i already knew):) the boss at the bodyshop told me to phone him on friday(today) to see how things were going only to be told that he was waiting for bmw to get back to him to see if they will pay for them to remove the drivers side front wing  as he says it is not possible to fix the rust bubble on the car without removing the wing,i asked him could he not fix it without removing the wing and he said no and if i did not want the wing removed he reckoned i would be best to not touch the rust bubble as it has not broken the paint yet but he said it would do sometime in the future so i am left with a dilema do i remove the wing or not? i have to ring on monday to let him know,my worry is that when i go to sell the car people might think it has been crashed as i think you would know it had been removed, what you think?

I would get it done properly as quick superficial fixes may come to haunt you later.

I don't think anybody would know that the wing has been removed , if they are good at what they do they would get back on without much problems I would guess

Get it done propley if the bodyshop is good enough he will be able to line the wing up so you would never know it had been removed.
