Well, i got rid of my E46 330Ci, and picked up my new E92 330d
apologies for the pic whoring in advance...
first impressions on the car is that it is such an immense improvement on the E46. handling is pin point perfect, it really is point and turn. gearbox is so refined, and even though it is a 'pussy automatic' as my good friend ewok calls it, it really is more like a standard gearbox, minus the clutch.
the big thing though is the torque - it would out accelerate, out perform, and outdrive my last car by quite a margin - and i'm still returning 34mpg and that has all been spirited driving... i was lucky to be seeing 22 - 23 in my last car...
picked it up Tuesday evening, spent all day Wednesday detailing it (i had instructed the dealers not to touch it with a polisher!) drove it all day Thursday, and finished work early today - gave it a quick wash and a dry, and took the photos.
for those interested in the detailing side, i worked with the blackfire compound first, and finished with blackfire finishing polish with a bit of megs #80. waxed with collonite, which i absolutely love on red cars - didn't have time to spit shine, though i really wanted to - may do it next time! btw - i thought my E46 had hard paint - this paint is ridiculous!
anyway, enough rambling - on to the photos!
