Oh cock.

Aerokit + steep ramp =

http://www.peppermintproperties.co.uk/images/911/scratchedlip.jpg

To make matters worse it was a crowded High Street, so plenty of people to point and laugh

And then I had to reverse it off the ramp too - :(

Do I win the Evotechnik Fastest Damage to New Car Award?

NOOOOOO!!! I recon you need an in-car adjustable system (Tein EDFC, Bilstein Ride Control)!!!

I did exactly the same thing at a very busy swanky hotel in Dublin on Sun, tho thankfully it was the underside.

Smart repair should be easy on that, or replace with a C/F one. ;) :D

Damn! But, no, you don't win the fastest damage to a new card award! I had the same thing happen to my Golf Anniversary Gti when it was being unloaded off a trailer and I drove it up my drive-way!

Chin up - it's still in one piece!

Won't you avoid scrapes if you don't brake when approaching the street ramp since the car will always dive/squat on brake. Drive up it slowly?

I imagine you'll be beating yourself up but a splitter like that was gonna eventually get a beating. I think anyone will testify to that :(

Oh thats a shame, was it on the way in or out, whitgift car park? The exit ramp where it meets the street is just as bad, even my previous M3 has scraped it when ive been down there.

I've heard the centrale one is slightly more car friendly but not been there myself.

Thanks for the links fellas :)

Raja - ok, you win mate ;)

Am3r - it was the M&S in West Wickham, with a steep drop kerb made from granite setts.

The Centrale car park is EVIL. Has a never ending ascending spiral designed by MC Escher to especially to destroy expensive rims

Best car park in Croydon in the expensive secure one in Surrey St Market - it's got CCTV on every level, bright lighting and nice big spaces - took the truck there today.

Very true - it could have been loads worse!

It's pretty ragged Matt, and there are a few chunks out of it :(

I'm bound to do it again, so will touch it for now, and get a nice bendy PU one later :)

Ouch!

Still, look on the bright side - you didn't shred it infront of the envious onlookers!

Still looks the bizness!

Oh mate, we've all been there. Its the price you pay for driving modified and lowered cars. When i had my old 3 series, i fitted my brand new M3 bumper, with my brand new anf freshly painted chin spoiler and then parked up straight up onto the kerb like i always did..... crunch!

like everyone else says mate, at least it didn't split and it's just an excuse to buy a new one..... good call on the C/F mikem!

I have a big crack in my genuine ACS front spilter! Need to get that sorted, but as its carbon fibre will have to get a new one! At least you can do a smart repair on yours, lucky it wasn't worse.

I live in Croydon to and that Centrale car park sucks big time! The up and down ramps are so tight, its give me a heart attack everytime i go there. Can't belive they built a new car park like that! They might aswell have a smart repair drive through at the exit to repair everyones scrapes, lol. Whitgift or Grants car parks are much better!

But I'd rather have the last laugh as I'd own a 996 Turbo and they don't lol.

I think it's a right of way when it comes to bumper spoilers. My first spoiler on a car years ago; it came out worse against a kerb and it's had nothing but abuse since lol.

Hope you get it sorted soon.
