Hi Andy - my wife's just bought a Jaguar x-type estate (2005). The audio system is OK (radio/cassette with 6 disk changer - non premium), but we want to install bluetooth, iPod link and sat nav, and I would like to get an integrated system, rather than have lots of boxes and wires.

The Kenwood DNX7200 with bluetooth module and Ipod module offers everything I'm looking for - saw your post recommending a look at the Alpine set-up, but can't justify the extra cost. My questions are:

Does a doubledin unit fit okay in the x-type - have read that the upper part of the slot is not as deep as standard (car has digital climate control)
I assume sourcing a facia plate is not a problem?
Would it be worth upgrading the speakers - would like to increase base as well, but don't want to take up space in the boot.

How much to supply and install the DNX7200 with KCA-BT100 bluetooth and KCA-ip300V ipod connection?

Many thanks, Gary

Shows it can be done:

Pioneer AVICN2

Pioneer AVICN2 depth 6.5" = 165mm

Kenwood DNX7200 depth 163 mm

.......so it should fit.

I think that the nexxia faceplate would give a more OE appearance.

....if this confirms your information, please let me know price to supply/install - thanks Andy.
