Thought you guys might like to see this volunteerd to do a detail on a mates tired old porsche 944 with 217k on the clock. :( must have been pissed.

Any way 10 hours later and a full machine polish and pait prep.

Ok so here are the before pics, this car had the worst case of oxidation.

fantastic job! dude invest in a rotary, and you'll never look back..porsche clearcoat is pretty tough that must of took ages!

Makita arrived 2 weeks ago paint depth guage this week too much money :(

very shiney! what wax did you use?

Started with Menzerna IP but wasn't playing ball, moved to megs 83 on a hard sonus pad followed by 80 and medium to buff then werkstett primer to cleanse poorboys exp pure sealent and nattys blue carnuba on top.

Sorry forget who asked but start to finish on this 10 - 11 hours.

The paint indeed was hard but this has no clearcoat it was one stage paint wrecked my pads and MF towels.:(

Needed some more anyway :D

As everyone has said, what a transformation.

Transformed it from looking liked a clapped out old car to a well loked after "classic" if you like.

Awesome job mate looks like a new car. What did you use on the engine bay I really need to do mine but scared of damaging it with water.

it looks like autoglym engine degreaser. good stuff!!

good spot autoglym it is and a good product. but if you intend to do other peoples cars then it gets expensive.:o

got one a buy in bulk now :D

this engine was nasty so this was just a spruce witll re visit later in the year
