imagine driving that down the street lol. i dotn even knw if id rally that, it looks so bad.
would have to put tints ont he windows so no one see me driving it lol

It looks the way it does for a reason... a rear engined 400 bhp 6 pot lump in a match box that would waste most cars in existance... These cars and RS200's, T16's, Quattros etc all run 0-100 mph in a similar time to what it takes an M3 to hit 60!
I love the Rs200 and the oldskool Quatros that used to rally and spit fire, they were seriously fast. The renault gaurdini was a sickly fast car aswell.

God some of you guys are either too young or you've lived sheltered lives.. That car is a classic from the 80s, beautifully engineered piece of kit and proper muscle from a good old-fashioned british manufacturer. That'll be quicker than a lot of current privateer-run rally kit 20 years on, too, amazing cars to run and that one's not a bad price either.

Oh god I love these cars. Remember seeing a few rallycrossing at lydden and brands - unfarking believeably fast and the noise - hmmmmmmmmmm. Isn't the 6r4 engine the same as the one in the jag xj220?

That car is easily worth the asking price. Nothing much to look at by modern standards, but it's very rich in history. Group B rallying is not for the those with a weak stomach. Vintage

Yeah same basic engine, doesn't the jag have either a supercharger or turbo attached though? Absolutely mental cars, I also remember seeing them racing at Lydden when I was young. What was the local bloke that raced them back in the day, owns the Saab garage in Canterbury can't think of his name now.

I'm with Dan on this one...
a pile of poo it may seem by today's standards in some ways, but in it's day (when i was far younger :)) this commanded severe respect, it literally killed some spectators at a rally if I remember right ? It and other cars of it's ilk were banned from rally races because they were TOO POWERFUL !! :D
400 bhp ! in a chassis weighing next to nothing; imagine the acceleration !

I'm with you on this one Dan,it is an awesome bit of kit,I'd have one in my garage in a heartbeat. Those of you who doubt its ability or coolness have obviously never been in one and therefore dont know what what your missing

That's the one. Think he still has a racing team although not sure if he actually races himself anymore.

I went to Brands and watched him racing against Martin Skanke in his RS200 that Metro was so fcuking quick even against the RS200.If I remember correctly that 6R4 is as quick as a F1 car up to 100 mph :D :D

Lol maybe I am showing my age or indeed the fact that I have lived a sheltered life, but I havent seen one of these before, and at first, wasnt impressed
However, sounds like it has a great heritage and is also a great car by the counds of it, so my opinion has changed, for the better
