without the cost ?

Ahhhhhh....I don't think so ;) Turbocharged 3.0L will cost a bit to run but I'm sure it'll be worth it ;) ......................until you try an M and suddenly nothing else comes close :D :D :D

TBH id rather have the new M. No doubt turbos are fun, my last car was a high powered turbo, but its no where near as controllable as an SC/NA engine. There nothing worse than boost mid corner. I think BMW are making a mistake although ive no doubt it will be the most popular choice. As for running cost and tunability, It will come at a price. A new turbo and manifold which you will need for big power will be well over 3k, and thats only if you can crack the ECU. :(

The M will be my choice.

Lee my friend ...that is quite simply the coolest sig I have ever seen :D

I reckon there is a market for both turbo nuts and M poer afficionados with these two models ........
there that settled it .... [jam
