Does anyone know of any links or pictures of any cars that have a TB'd M42 engine?
I can get new Jenvey items for a knock-down price at the moment as Jenvey are right on my doorstep
Thought it was something worth considering as I love the sound a throttle-bodied engine produces

Good Products...but Quite Difficult To Map Properly

That was one of my biggest concerns
Is an aftermarket ECU a must?

no need for aftermarket ECU at all :) It just has to be done properly ...

Further to that though, is it preferable to retain the original ECU and have it mapped properly that way rather than buying, say, an OMEX 600 ECU?

I think I'm going to go for this
Jenvey TB set-up, Schrick Cams, Eisenmann exhaust and a bit of head work
even if nothing else, the sound should be immense, lol

I got my full exhaust system, induction kit and big bore throttle body kit fitted on the same day and the difference in sound and performance was amazing!!
good luck and post some pics when fitted.

sounds good then!
I'll update when things start to happen, still got plenty to do in the meantime, but fancied doing a something a little different engine-wise, and then this suddenly dawned on me when I was reading an article about something completely different, lol
