Alright guys, I'm considering getting the Dotz Radiums for my M3 a wanted to know what you fellas thought about them.

I cant find any pictures of them on a car, but the DPE R07s are a bit similar.

The Radiums have a grey centre finish which i think will go well with the silver grey colour of the car.

These ones?

Nice rim, but you still seem to refuse the concept of benefits of wider rims on the rear of the M3. These are 8.5j all around yet again. Good luck to you

I'm getting a staggered setup in these. 19x8J at the front and 19x9.5J at the rear :) . Your rims are very nice Fas, are they HRE?

Hi, I was thinkign about getting the Dotz Radiums before i got the Hamanns and they look good in a pic but have you seen them in real life? i saw aa pic of them from another angle and the spokes arnt flat , they actually are roudned and this put me off, plus the fact that i foudn out that ppl were putting them on puntos and fiestas and things i thoguht id give it a miss, btu if u liek them then go for em dude. jsut make sure u seen them in the flesh before u buy.

I haven't seen them yet, but will try and find a set to look at before i buy. I did notice in a picture that the spokes are curved also, but they look good. Can't do anything about people putting them on puntos and fiestas, lol.

Yeah, see it was the curvyness that put me off them. Cause i was goign for them cause they looked jsut liek the DPE Variant 6 wheels and i was gona powdercoat them black once i had them but once i realised they were curved i dropped the whole idea. But if u like them still then go for them man.

Hi mate. Where are u gettin your rims from? I was looking at these for my E46 coupe but in 18 inch. The company i tried so far told me they only do them in 18 x 7.5J which is obviously no good.

Preferably I would want 8J on the front and either 8.5J or 9J on the rear.

Cheers.

I have been in contact with two suppliers. Dotz-alloys.co.uk and wheelsnthings. both can provide a staggerd setup and both giving me very good deals after some hard negotiating :D . Give them a try.

Interesting...I tried to contact the main supplier of Dotz rims yesterday and he just got back to me today. He told me that the size of lip on both the 8J and 9.5J are the same?

It has been confirmed that the lip size on both the 8J and 9.5J is the same size, which is a bit crap :( . that has put me off a bit on these.

Hi - Offtopic, I saw (and waved) at you this morning past Carshalton Road. Your car with that boot lip and front splitters looks ace! Go with M3 specific staggered setup regardless to alloy range/manufacture :)

Thanks! Yeah, I thought i saw you this morning just after going through Sutton Was on my way to work. What did you think the Lm reps looked like on the M?

Your M looked lovely I remember looking back through my mirrors to get longer look. Haven't seen your car for a while, used to see it last year quite a bit near Cheam?? i think when i had my E46 Sapphire black coupe.

Is that where you get your rims from Fas? Rich @ wheels n things? or is that just a site you came across... I use him at work, he's really good bloke and he'll do anything he can for you. Highly recommended for anyone that wants any new alloys :)

Get a set of those Wheels Peppernick got from Japan. They were about £1200 and look the nuts.

Actually, I wasn't aware I got it at cost (thanks to a friend and his very good contact). The Indivis are more like £1700 plus PP if you buy them at a discounted price.

if u can convince yourself, i'd go with DPE's (quality, weight, finish etc.)

Styler
17-08-2007, 10:55 PM
DPE's just too expensive, even though they look awesome. I gave my lm reps a quick wash went i got home from work, and they just look so stunning. I'm not sure if the Radiums will be a better replacement.

Also my suspension does look a bit odd, it hasn't settled down as much as i thought, the front is now riding on 235/35/19 so there is more room under the front arch, the rear is still on stock 255/35/19 but still seems to be riding a bit low?? Maybe its just me.

Sorry I didn't notice the rims:o Your paint and splitter [with AC badge placed there] stole my attention! Car looks amazing - you're doing a good job keeping it clean! My car is screaming for clay and cleanse/wax!

I only got my car a month ago so aonly made a few mods to it so far, my paint work needs some attention to. I have a few chips and stuff that i need to get sorted, but also my front splitter has a big crack in it. I have to get a new one :(

I have been considering these rims for a while as well, I really like them.

The dotz or DPEs? I was a bit turned off them after i found out that they all have the same sized lip for both 8j and 9.5J. They would look much better with a staggered lip. But i guess for the price at which they are, they are still good value.
