View Full Version : Final Stage Unit (resistor)
Anyone replaced this? Think im going to give it a go pending dealer has it in stock. Im pretty sure its by my left knee when im driving so how do i get that panel off? I havent tried yet so not sure how easy its going to be :D.
Anyhelp would be cool. Checked fanatics but the whole rhd thing seems to be a bit different.
ps for those that dont know im replacing is because the fan seems to be randomly fluctuating between full blast and normal even though the display screen shows no increase in fan power [hmm.

U can always check both sides of the footwell by the backside of the central console area.

for right hand drive car, you'll need to take the panel off underneath the steering wheel to gain access.
you're back will hurt after doing this, well, mine did when i changed mine.
i too followed the diagrams and photo's from 46fanantics forum.

i suppose you can leave it for a little longer as you don't need the heater now.
you can always wind down your windows when it's hot.
mine happened in the winter so it really buggered me becos i need to turn the heater on all the time.

I don't think the US market got anything smaller than a 2.0 model so whatever part number u have should be the only one (yours is a M43 engine right?).
its the same part for all models here according to dealer. I just wanted to know if thats universal [hmm.
