Are the older ones different from the newer ones. All others that ive seen are all shiny, is that just the wear?

That's just wear and tear, especially so if the previous owner drive around after a BigMac lunch without washing his hands........LOL :D
I keep glass wipes in my car and clean the steering wheel from time to time, and also make sure I wash my hands before driving. My steering wheel has now done 8000 miles and it's still matt :D ..............yes I'm a NUT http://forum.e46fanatics.com/images/smilies/silly.gif when it comes to these little things :D

Can you not get the cover for the standard M/F steering wheel with the ///M badge on?

The M-Sport/M3 wheel is different. Smaller diameter and chunkier with 2 thumb rests. Also, the centre piece is different. Feels 10X better though when driving.

Hey guys, got the wheel for £365 incl airbag. Thats good in my book! It's very new in condition, the flash makes it look shinier than it is in real life. The red and blue stitching is still clean and tasty looking.
@Nick,do you need the paddles? Hadn't decided whether or not to bother removing them??

Yeah,if not Scorchers looking for one for his new X5 :) :) :)
Good buy that, a new wheel makes SUCH a big difference. I was very chuffed to get a 6k mile M Sport wheel off a 2006 330Ci - but the airbag was faulty and the guy who flogged me both wouldnt accept one back without the other :(
