Had my Eibach Coils and ARB fitted this week, and got me back in the mood for some of my own modding.

Ive had this induction kit for sometime, but tried it once and didnt like the change in power curve. Since then Ive had an eisenmann fitted so thought Id give it a go, as my current setup was suffering from major heat soak.

This kit fits in the wheel arch, so your only going to draw in cold air. To make sure I 'modded' the brake duct so it feed into the wheel arch instead (brakings for girls anyway. lol) this will be tided up now I know it works.

Anyways I ramble.... end result car pulls much better right through the rev range, and especially over 40mph when the air starts pushing through. I get an extra 5-8mph at usual sprint road. and it doesnt suffer from the lack of power I used to get after being stuck in traffic, due to heat build up in engine bay. Think Roy does simular system to this one.

Got good results, so thought I'd share. :D

I've been thinking about getting one of thes or similar. Was just wondering though is there a problem with water getting into the filter

Me too,so i made my own heatshield.
Filter and all parts needed cost less than £50.
I drove from Notts to Watford and back and as soon as i pulled up outside my house lifted the bonnet and the pipe and filter was freezing,my own made ram system worked a treat.
Heres a few pics i took off my phone whist making it.....
Air deflectors, silver in the pics but i painted them black....

no problem with rain, but obviously you need to be wary of very deep water. Ran this system on my LCR with no problems.

Is the pipe the same size diameter as the AFM or does it have a reducer?
That looks really good.

Its more or less the same size, It comes with a rubber coupling simular to the Gruppe M. I cant decide if its worth wrapping feed pipe in thermal wrap to make it even better, but it looks good in the Carbon.
