Squeeking Parcel Shelf

Hi

Anyone with a vert experienced their rear shelf squeeking when going over small and large bumps? It drives me mad! Anyone know a good fix?

Mine does this also. I have tried greasing up all the obvious problem areas but to no avail.

I did go to BMW recently complaining about noisy door cards and they gave me some upgraded clips for each door which totally solved the problem. Therefore it might be worth contacting them again as to whether there is some kind of upgrade for the rear shelf.

My parcel self is extremely noisy.Thinking of taking the whole thing out and using soundproofing in the hollow and around the speakers.There is a lot of threads on e46fanatics.com about this.

Seems to be pretty common in the verts. Don't know if there is "fix all" solution.

The sqeaks in a vert are a mystery as some days the car will be silent then the next it sounds like a hamster has crawled into the boot.

I had squeaks and rattles in my vert all the time, something I accepted having no roof for solidity
My coup was silent until a few days ago, now i've got a loose heat shield....another day booked with the dealer :rolleyes:

Yes... this has happened to me in the past... Its a really horrible noise.

Just put the hood up and down a couple of times.. and it should be ok.

But there is no real fix... :mad: It does ago away however.

Yeah mine comes and goes too, even after I had it washed the other day, it went and came back the next day.
What a ****!
