We've just brought an F430 spyder into stock part ex. It's a left hooker from spain that's had the dials and lights altered etc but we're just wondering if anyone can identify this... and what it is, if it should be covered or what... Sorry about the pic it was taken on a camera phone:

The thing I'm referring to is the white plate in the footwell, the passenger side is carpeted but on the drivers side is this rather unsightly panel that looks really rough quality. You can just about see in the pic the top right and bottom right hand corners look like cracked/raised filler. What is this and is it meant to be there?! I do know the car has had a DLS speaker setup installed whether it could be something to do with this?

I'm sure it isn't normal , Ferrari would have a much better finish than that :)

No it definately is not normal, go and look at alot of other pictures of the F430, autotrader is really good for this and non of them have a plate there.
Did the last owner live on a farm that carpet is filthy :-|

LMAO just what I thought, it was a very cheap car though to be honest, nothing a bit of elbow grease wont rectify. Sounds AMAZING! much much nicer than my boss's 612 scag ever did and much better than the gallardos although I haven't heard it properly on song it was only moving round the car park lol. LOVING the settings on the steering wheel for sports and race mode etc, nice touch

The same plate is there in this picture, albeit a nicely-finished, shiny silver rather than a dowdy old white

That's what it's suggested to be on a few website reviews I've read, although it wasn't entirely clear

if it's seen on other 430's then I'd call a Ferrari dealership and ask them what it is and possible replacement part. It's got to be to with gear linkage control/adjustment. Love the car, any pics of the outside?
Also how much are you looking for it?

Already sold mate! Came in yesterday and going out today at £85k, '05 plate done 12k miles, so cheap cos its a left hooker! I didnt have any pics so just taken one outta the window lol my camera phone is shite though so again the pic quality is lame, sorry! :o Personally I'm not overly taken by it I'd rather have that familiar looking C class next to it... ;) LMAO!! only kidding. I LOVE 430's but im not feeling the colour combo, the roof shoulda been black not blue :( although it does sound fit :D

And what a toy... Someone retrofit this to their beemer lol

I've only just noticed on the exterior only one mirror has F430 embossed and not both, nice touch :D
EDIT: what looks like a crease on the dash... its actually like a leather pocket so its not warped or anything :) 'tis a clean car. Only issue is a small ding on the drivers side rear quarter about 6 inches from the door but that's it, wouldnt cost much to put right, it's a clean motor all in all. :)

Thats Super cheap! A quick look on autotrader and the cheapest F430 vert I saw (which was also LHD) was just under £112,000, so at £85k sounds like a bargain. Was it sold to a friend or something?
It did have less mileage mind you (13,500 Km) but still thats a difference of around over £25,000

kind of, he's a trader we use who works on the continent sourcing vehicles in germany, italy, spain etc etc so we did it partly as a favour but being a left hooker it wasnt the kind of car we could sell on easily so we just got trade bids on the car, we were offered 85k the customer accepted and so we offered him the car at that

As for the car Tilly what plates is it on in that pic, they look like blue wwmc plates/stickers but it could just be the pictures that make it look like that from the side.
