330ci V 330ci sport

ok guys,

as you all seem to be the best people to talk to about the e46s, im currently shopping for a cracking 330ci, now loads of 330ci out the but what im realy looking for is a 330ci sport( M-packet) now i know they look different, but do they realy drive any different?

if they do how and why please, :confused:

PS should arive after xmas now as 2003 priced 330s will drop into the same price bracket as the 2002 models are at now, :eek:

Sport suspension, tighter and less lean round the corners. Sport seats, more lateral support. Fatter tyres, more tramlining, makes the car edgy but more fun to drive. The rest are cosmetics. All depending if the normal ci comes with sport suspension or not, some will also have sport seats. So mostly cosmetic. Why not test drive both, best way to find out.

I've got a 330ci sport and my brother has the 330ci, in my humble option, the sport wins everytime, much more pleasing to the eye and a lower "look" all round. :D

mate does it make any diference if it sits any lower or not your gonna mod it anyway i didn't buy a sport as i didn't want the sport kit there ohhh so common and ohhh so boring buy a standard car and then mod it :cool: u know it makes sense!

What do you want to do with your car. If you're planning an agressive setup, i.e. complete aftermarket bodykit like Rieger, Zeemax, Hamann etc, change the rims, suspension etc, get the non-sport. However, if you want to maintain the original BMW lines and just augment what's already there, the Sport would be the better baseline

If you get a non-sport, make sure you get one with sport seats. Unless you plan to rip the original out and go for some Recaros.

after getting it, when i do, it will be a while before the bank (wife) lets me get away with modding it in anyway, so when the time comes when the cash finaly gets to me, i will be looking for a nice well looked after sport, i do like the way that BMW have made the sport look and feel happy with that, i will be looking at the hamman front lip as told to do so ;) , what i like to do when it comes to modding is performance, i like to drive hard and fast on the motorways as driving from turkey to the uk (3201miles) shows me plenty of them to let it rip, the e46 will be my next baby for the next 5 years min, and will be loved just like westside does :eek:

lots of 2001 330ci sports out there in germany but with 120k plus klm on the clock for around the 20k euros, so the wait continues, i plan to part with around 23-5k in euros as the bank will accept that amout, me, i blow the lot, but you know how banks are!

Good to see you still have your finger on the pulse...mmmm 330sport very cool mate and i bet you cant wait. The hamann lip is all good and considering that Fas has a vert and is in the UK i cant see any reason why you cant have one to, i know im getting one :p

I've also ordered a Hammann Lip too :D :D
will be painting them BLACK as well.
it's seems that everyone is having the same mod, but in actual fact.
i have hardly seen any e46 with eg. cs splitters, acs alloys, ccfl's or even m3 mirrors when i am on the road.
you only see it alot in the forum.
i have only seen 1 with wp dde's and that's nicks car.
and haven't seen any e46 with eyebrow. :eek:
otherthen that, there is very few modded e46 on the roads.

Post pics of the lip when you get it on, it looks awesome on a black car.

Rossi46, you are so right, i have seen only two modified E46's. One of those was Teddy's when i collected my mirrors and angel eyes.

Unless you have far more skills than i posses there are only so many mods you can do that actually look good in my opinion.

only kidding fas, i just put on the cs splitters today.
i know what you mean by too many people are getting them.
but not to get them becos too many people have them it's just not me.
i put them on becos they looks really nice with the mtec bumper.
i like Hamman lip too, don't get me wrong.
sometimes when you try to move on and have new mods,it might look different from others but it might not make the car look better then before.
like the post you mentioned about changing your rims again then realise your type 3's are actually one of the best around, but just becos most evotechnik members have them you want to get rid of it. :(
