Had my L200 Diamond since Thursday, but have been busy closing up my Gallery ready for the new owners, so haven't had a chance to take any pics until today.

Huge thanks to Mark (Tilly) for getting it delivered so quickly, at much better price than a Mitsubishi dealer, and for being an all round top bloke.:)

It's been a so useful - have taken five full loads already, from recycling, to easels, to a large wardrobe, and the rear bed swallows them all with ease - enough room for fragile items on the back seats.

I'd only test driven the 130 bhp Elegance version, but ended up stumping up a few extra quid a month for the Diamond, which has a Ralliart ECU, power is upped to 165 bhp, and torque increase too. Enough to pull an accidental wheelspin leaving the tip yesterday :D

This is only the third auto diesel I've driven, and despite only having 4 gears, is pretty damn smooth. Only tried RWD so far, and getting 26 mpg on a truck that's only done 300 miles, so hope it'll get up to 30ish once run in.

Loaded with toys - sunroof, heated leather seats, 10 disc autochanger, MP3 head unit, touch screen DVD nav, tints, plus the bodykit from the Animal without the chav graphics and embossed seats.

Getting the Carryboy Truck top fitted on Monday, then PDC and reversing camers later in the week - it's a bugger to park without PDC, and the camera will be a laugh :o

I know I won't get as much in the back as a Transit, but it's actually fun to drive, I can get a baby seat in the back (has Isofix), and it's a Japanese auto with leather and aircon, so it's not going to go wrong in a hurry.

My master plan is to get the missus a Golf, when she passes her test we can use the truck as the family car, flog the 745 and then get that two door dream car

Off to Bluewater in the morning, so will see how it does motorways and families!

Good looking, also i think a good luck in your new business venture is in order.

That trucks has to be one of the best looking "family cab" trucks on the market, i always looked at these and liked them and would definately pick this regardless of price over the top of any truck should the need come.

It'll be a sad sight to see your 7er go as she is a gorgeous example, but i know i can eagerly await your next couple of ventures.

Mitsu - anytime mate!

SYE - it's got everything I want for the time being - other than PDC and truck top, but they'll be sorted by the end of the week

Nick - another 'love it or hate it' styled motor for me! Think it looks like a Transformer :D

Ryu - cheers mate, very kind of you

Martyn - the 745 will be here for a few months yet - I have got to wait for the missus to pass her test

Cool truck mate, I had the previous version of the L200 and loved it. What engines are they using now, mine certainly didn't have that much power, think it was more like 115bhp in mine. Still, easy to get the rear wheels spinning when the bed was empty. I actually found it drove better with the truckman top on the back, that little bit of weight stopped it bouncing around so much. I never found motorways to be a problem, I did 50,000 miles in 10 months and always found it to be comfy and reliable. What tyres do they come with these days, not those crappy Duelers I hope? Are you going to be taking it offroad? I think I lasted 300miles before I gave in to temptation.

Yeah I thought I better leave it at least a couple of days before I took a brand new shiney truck through the woods. Needless to say after that the mud and scratches were a permenant feature.
