golf hu wiring...

i recently got a pioneer p77MP off a friend, and i bought all the adapters etc...

but the one thing i dont have any more is that when it is wired as permanant live.... i have to turn it off manually everytime, and before with the standard HU, i could take out the key and it would turn off..

can i get this feature back?

what year is the golf? there should be a switched ignition live on the car on the mk2,3,4 but not on the mk5. on those you will have to get the fead from the fuse box and run a cable to the stereo.

*edit* sory mate, just read your other post. you will have to run a cable from the fuse box to the stereo.
