Well, I finally got the pro kit fitted today. Took it to Thorney motorsport who duly fitted it and done a full geometry thingy all for the sum of £50 due to the hastle i had last time when the booking was 'lost'. I must say, it was looked after impecably as I was watching the process on and off.
As you can see, it has dropped a hell of a lot for just a spring change. I can definately feel a difference. Certainly not as crashy over bumps and feels more nimble but as I have only driven it back from milton keynes to kent on a few A roads and the motorway I have yet to fully explore the results but I am definately pleased.
I drew a line between the wheel centres so you can see how much it has dropped by.

Not sure of the pirpose of the line between the wheels , this shouldn't change with a drop lol .......... but its looking really nice m8 :)
edit I get it, how low the body is compared to the line lol

Adood, the line has been put ther so you can see how far the body has dropped in relation to the wheel centres. Look at the line where the side skirt joins the bodywork and compare that to the red line to see the amount it has dropped by ;) .

Thanks Mark, in particular for all the help if I needed it ;) . I will use him at some point because the car will be going maybe at the end of the year for another M3 so will need to get the kit off and onto another one ;) .

why the change? want something newer/lower miles? or a different colour combo cos you're bored? something else?
I've finally concluded that gunmetal grey with imola red leather is THE best M3 colour combo :). I'm on the hunt.

Too many miles. M3 values are dropping and I don't want to wreck mine by going over 60k miles as then the warranty costs £1800 per year and makes it hard to trade in. Will get a low mile two year old car and run it for a couple of years before getting an e92 m3.

I just did a quote on an M3 for upto 80k mileage on http://www.warrantywise.co.uk/
and it was £450. do you think that would be worth the paper its written on? The list of things covered seems to be pretty comprehensive.
values are indeed dropping. you can get a good example with sub-30k on the clock for less than £20,000. and its not much more for one fully loaded.

OT but ;).....I want the BMW warranty, see too many 3rd party warranty companies trying to weasel out of claims, particularly if you have an expensive engine failure like Doc Matt, at least BMW will foot the bill (bar the £250 excess).

aye, sorry about that, back on track... The drop is much more pronounced than the pro-kit drop on my 330. I think the eibachs are the very first M3 mod i would do, just looks so much better!

The drop is more excessive than on my previous 330 as well. The back hardly moved on the 330 but the rear has really dropped on the M, it had to as it was on stilts. It always seemed to sit higher in the rear than any other M3 I saw.

Paul. You idiot. With that red tape there you won't be able to open the doors and get in or out. Can't believe you missed something so obvious. :(
I do like that turqoise roll-cage that you've had put in though, much better than the empty cabin in the first pic. ;)
Edit: Just noticed something for real...! You have slotted front discs and drilled rears. I'm either impressed by your ability to set up a car with the exact characteristics that you need or you're a lazy bastard when it comes to co-ordinating your mods. ;) And I think I'm drawing a winner out of those two as we speak..... :D

Dan, I am typing this from in the car, you can live in the car but can't drive the house :p .
Do you like the turqoise cage, its amazing how you can fit a pug 106 in an M3 :p .
Bit of both regarding the disks ;) . I still have axxis ultimates all round to even up the braking resistance on the disks but felt that I didn't need the DBA's on the rear (was also penniless at the time :p ). Regarding braking, it performs superbly mate, 100% improvement over full OEM pads and front disks.

Only 100%? Amateur! You'll regret that on those cold lonely nights when you're cuddled up on the driveway cursing your craziness with that red tape. If only you didn't have the Turquoise Trap in there, then you could climb out of the windows. You've really done it this time. :(
